SOLIDARITE AVEC LA CONFEDERATION PAYSANNE : MONSANTO AMPLIFIE LA REPRESSION

délégués de 35 pays présents à Poitiers samedi 26 novembre au séminaire international sur les semences et la biodiversité organisé par la CNDSF et RSP , apprennent ce jour avec stupéfaction la saisie des comptes bancaires de la Confédération paysanne par la multinationale Monsanto ; ceci en conséquence d’une action anti-OGM opérée en 1999 à Montbequi (82). L’assemblée s’insurge avec force contre cette répression visant à museler une organisation qui participe activement à l’instauration d’un débat public indispensable et à la mobilisation de la société civile majoritairement hostile à la prolifération des OGM dans les champs et l’alimentation.

Les participants s’engagent à soutenir la Confédération paysanne dans son combat, à diffuser dans leurs pays respectifs cette information et à amplifier sur la planète la résistance à la main mise des transnationales sur le vivant.

Appel à la solidarité financière

La lutte contre les OGM est dans une période cruciale en France, en Europe et dans le monde et la résistance de plus en plus déterminée et organisée peut réussir à empêcher la pollution génétique généralisée et irréversible des systèmes agraires existants.

C’est pourquoi le bras de fer pour refuser les OGM dans les champs et dans les assiettes est de plus en plus fort entre les défenseurs de l’autonomie paysanne, de la santé, de la biodiversité et le lobby des semenciers agro-productivistes.

C’est, sans aucun doute, ce qui a amené Monsanto à appliquer le principe de répression en faisant saisir sur un des comptes bancaires de la Confédération paysanne 18 000 € sur les 196 000 € dont elle lui a signifié le recouvrement depuis le 15 novembre dernier pour la destruction de maïs OGM en 1998 à Monbéqui.

Ne laissons pas Monsanto étrangler financièrement une des principales organisations opposante aux OGM et montrons notre solidarité en envoyant notre soutien à Amis de la Confédération paysanne, 104, Rue Robespierre, 93170 BAGNOLET (Mention : Solidarité Monsanto)
